Tryouts Information for the 2024-25 Season
TRYOUT REGISTRATION IS OPEN FOR THE 2024-2025 SEASON!
All those camps and clinics are great - but this is the real thing - playing on an A5 Gwinnett club team, wearing the A5 Gwinnett uniform, bonding with teammates, and experiencing real match play. Over the course of a whole season, athletes get so much instruction and experience with match and tournament play, that playing on a club team is actually a great value considering the number of contact hours. There's just no substitute for the experience and FUN of a season of club volleyball!
TRYOUT REGISTRATION
The registration fee for tryouts is $55 and must be paid in advance. Walk-ups will be $60. This fee includes an A5 Gwinnett T-shirt. Register Now!
After signing in as a registered user (or creating an account if you are a new user), you can add your dependent athlete to your profile and then register them for tryouts. Parents sign-in here.
DON'T FORGET!!!
USA Volleyball requires that each athlete register within their region - our region's governing body is the Southern Region Volleyball Association, or SRVA. Prior to tryouts, you must register on the SRVA website and pay a $10.00 tryout registration fee that will turn into a full-year USAV membership once your athlete is placed on a team. If you played club volleyball this past season, then your SRVA membership will be acceptable during tryouts. Registration on the SRVA/USAV website will not open until Sept 1st at the earliest. The region ask that parents and families be patient with this process. Should you have any questions in regards to this requirement please contact us.

WHAT TO BRING
At tryouts, you will need to bring a copy of the USAV Medical Release Form filled out (form found on website), SRVA Membership Form (as outlined above) and a copy of athlete's birth certificate. SRVA REGISTRATION will open early July.
"TRAIN FOR TRYOUTS" CLINICS
A5 Gwinnett's "Train For Tryouts" workshops are designed to familiarize young athletes with club tryout drills and procedures. Coaches will conduct a "mock tryout" which will include evaluations throughout the workshop. This is a great way to reduce tryout nerves and increase confidence. INFORMATIONAL MEETINGS
Indoor teams: Each year prior to tryouts, our club holds several informational meetings for parents new to A5 Gwinnett or new to the idea of club volleyball. Info session details for the 2024-2025 Club Season is on the Information Meetings page.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS
National - Travel across the country to compete. Tournaments can include flights and multiple qualifiers. Elite athletes who want to play a more competitive schedule
Regional - will travel within the Southern Region to compete. Tournaments will mainly be two days with possibly one tournament being out of town (within the Region - GA and TN).
