Sam Croce (GA5 Alum) Named AAC Setter of the Week!!!

WALESKA, Ga. - Reinhardt University volleyball's Sam Croce won one of the four awards the Appalachian Athletic Conference hands out for volleyball every week, taking home AAC setter of the week honors. The award was announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.
Croce had a solid week for the Lady Eagles, leading the squad to a 3-2 mark. In last Tuesday's four-set win over Piedmont, the junior had a career-best 55 assists in the victory, while also adding 14 digs for a double-double. Against Ohio Christian three days later, Croce had 21 assists, seven kills, and five block assists in a 3-1 win.
After a 3-0 loss to Freed-Hardeman in which Croce had 21 assists, the Cumming, Ga., native came back Saturday with a 31 assist performance in a 3-1 win over Cumberland. Croce also had nine digs and five kills in the win. In RU's final match at the Cumberland Classic, Croce had 40 assists, nine digs, and five kills in a 3-2 loss to Fisk.
For the week, Croce averaged 8.40 assists and 2.10 digs per set.
The Lady Eagles will be back in action this Friday as they open AAC play at Montreat. Opening serve is set for 6:30 p.m.
