Reynolds, Howard Named to UWG Invite All-Tournament Team

CARROLLTON, Ga. – The first awards in program history for Georgia College volleyball go to freshmen Miller Howard (Suwanee, Ga.) and Rachel Reynolds (Marietta, Ga.) as both were named to the UWG Invitational All-Tournament Team by the University of West Georgia Sunday.
Reynolds had 59 total kills for the four matches, averaging 3.69 per set. The rookie outside hitter posted a .305 hitting percentage for the tourney and six total blocks. Her best match came against Malone University Saturday morning, finishing off a school-record 19 kills.
Howard posted the school’s first double-double in program history against the University of West Alabama, adding 12 kills to 11 digs. She finished the four matches averaging 1.77 kills and 2.00 digs per set.
The Bobcats are back in action Friday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m., hosting the University of Montevallo in the start of Peach Belt Conference (PBC) play. The Georgia College Department of Athletics, two-time winners of the PBC Commissioner's Cup, sponsors 11 varsity athletic programs at the NCAA Division II level.
