The Middle School General Skills camp provides the best opportunity available to either get your athlete started in the sport of volleyball or for the more experienced athlete, a chance to get reps before the Fall season. This camp is recommended for athletes between the ages of 13 and 15. This camp is open to all skill levels and athletes will be grouped based on skill level.
During the camp, athletes will receive instruction on fundamental motor skill development, proper skill specifc footwork and court movement, and proper skill specific technique. The primary skills we will focus on are serving, passing, attacking (hitting), and setting. Serving and hitting will be the biggest amount of time. Each session will also have game like play as well.
Please know, that we will do LOTS of repetition and your athlete will use muscles that they normally do not use. Expect them to have muscle soreness from this camp.
The emphasis in our camps is to have fun while learning and working on the skills of the game and working at playing the game itself.
*All summer camps and clinics will include internal tryout evaluations. Tryouts for A5 will be the first week of July for all age groups*
